We’re having a rather indulgent few weeks here at SSP headquarters and have decided to take a quick trip to the much talked about Tella Balls dessert bar in Dulwich Hill, Sydney.
With a Nutella-rich menu there is plenty of hype surrounding this place and it does not disappoint.
We have been inspired!
And have created another sweet sandwich to treat ourselves between visits.
choc-nut(ella) cinnamon sandwich
1Tbsp Nutella or choc-hazelnut spread
1Tbsp almond butter (use peanut butter or strawberry jam if preferred)
You’re going to need that sandwich press so get it out of the cupboard and heat it up!
Next, butter each slice of bread.
Now for the first slice of bread, on the opposite side to that which is buttered, spread generously with Nutella.
On the other slice of bread, on the opposite side to that which is buttered, spread generously with almond butter.
Sandwich the Nutella side and the almond butter spread side together.
Mix sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl and set aside.
Place sandwich in the hot sandwich press and grill for 1 minute or until lightly golden brown.
Remove and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mix on each side.
Hot off the press with a glass of cold, frothy milkshake
